Services & Fees
No open-ended programmes and no hourly billing. Each service runs the same method on a different thing, produces written results you keep, and has a flat fee. I show what needs to be done and give recommendations; you or your specialists carry it out.
I am usually called in at one moment: when something that works for the people inside has to be understood, trusted or run by someone else. That someone might be an investor, a buyer, a lawyer, a partner, a successor or a team. The object changes. The work does not.
The services below apply this to three different things: a story that others read, terms that two parties sign, and a way of deciding that a team lives by.
Investor and Client Story Sprint
What it is for
Your story makes sense to you and your team, but not yet to the person who has to say yes: an investor, a buyer, a bank or a client. We find what you are really claiming, put it in terms an outsider can judge, and test where it will be doubted. We lift the story out of the detail, say clearly what kind of company you are, and make the upside obvious on the first read.
What you get
- Line-by-line review: where readers will doubt or misunderstand
- A rewritten core message: what you do, for whom, and why it matters
- A slide-by-slide outline: with the logic, the numbers and the flow
- A 90-minute practice session: a live run-through with hard questions before you pitch
Deal Terms Sprint
What it is for
For when two or more parties are about to commit. Before you pay lawyers to draft around an unclear premise, agree the economics, who controls what, and what happens when things go wrong. We test the difficult cases, separate loans from ownership, and write the result in plain words.
Legal drafting, filings and legal representation stay with your lawyers.
What you get
- A 1-to-2 page term sheet: the commercial, financial and control rules in plain language
- Who gets paid what, and in which order: repayments, salaries and profit shares
- What happens when it goes wrong: deadlocks, late payments, a partner leaving, who owns the IP
- A plain brief for your lawyer: so drafting can start quickly
Who Decides What Sprint
What it is for
For when a company, a project or a unit depends on one person: managers hesitate to decide, knowledge sits in one head, and routine questions still go to the founder or a former owner. We write down clear limits so choices get made where the work happens.
If you lead a unit and the limits above you are the problem, we use the same work to build the case you take upward.
Practical strategy is part of this: bridging the gap between strategy and execution, so that the entire organisation aligns.
What you get
- A review of how decisions really get made today: people, shared definitions, tools, handoffs, and the knowledge only one person has
- A decision limits table: what managers decide alone, what they report, and what needs sign-off, with amounts
- A one-page guide for team leads: to settle weekly trade-offs without going to the founder
- A workshop: with leaders and department heads to agree the new limits
